So the planning is all done. The route is prepared. The accommodation is all booked. The bike has been serviced. The training has been done. I guess it's up to me now.
Tomorrow we set off for Cornwall, staying in Hayle tomorrow night, before setting off to Land's End on Saturday morning, for the start of what will (hopefully) be an enjoyable and rewarding adventure.
The route follows the following stages:
4th June Lands's End to Lostwithiel 68 miles
5th June Lostwithiel to Cullopmton 87 miles
6th June Cullompton to Wick 76 miles
7th June Wick to Stourport 73 miles
8th June Stourport to Disley 87 miles
9th June Rest Day
10th June Disley to Skipton 75 miles
11th June Skipton to Redworth 62 miles
12th June Redworth to Hawick 88 miles
13th June Hawick to Falkirk 83 miles
14th June Rest Day
15th June Falkirk to Pitlochry 72 miles
16th June Pitlochry to Inverness 87 miles
17th June Inverness to Helmsdale 68 miles
18th June Helmsdale to John O'Groats 51 miles
A total of 977 miles. 18th June we head back to Stirling for the final overnight before the long drive back to Kent on 19th June.
